Since these words were penned, the accumulation of revolutionary defeats and failures has been commensurate with the accumulation of capital, which continues to reshape the world in its monstrous image. Within capital’s planetary factory, what’s at stake is not merely the common ruin of the embattled classes but the ruin of the ecological relations and biogeochemical processes which comprise our living world.

Common Ruin is a communist writing and design project focused on the analysis of climatic and ecological breakdown and the elaboration of revolutionary prospects for our time, in spite of everything.
